MOAR Inspiration!

All in all, I've approached an overall theme with the monster approach.
I'm a big fan of lanky arms, goofy eyes, horns, teeth, and tails.
I'm going to find a way to implement that into a chair, and still have it sturdy enough to hold my weight.

I've also noticed that it's hard for me not to approach something with such an obvious theme. Some instructors like more abstract ideas with hints of themes.

Chair Inspriation

Yeah, I'm doing a monster chair.

Book!

Ten dollars a book for just the prints.
Meh, could be worse.

Book pages, at the end is the cover, binding, and rear cover (accordion book)

A Few Photos for Duh Boooooook!

These are just a few sample photos that I will be running through my book.
I have a large collection of photos but some pages will have up to 5 different photos on them.

I'm figuring out how to place things so that they flow nicely and I'm still trying to figure out what captions I can use to help the reader transition from one place to the next and to figure out what's going on.

On here, the photos seem to jump, but I do have more photos that flow alot better, I just didn't want a huge mass upload of my rough cut.

Poster Trial One

I hope this works. Hopefully after seeing everyone else's life will be good and the final product will be awesome.

BDS 102 - Wayfinding : Grounded

Things are seemingly good on the surface.
People seem to be caught up on the language and the projected seems to be instilled in everyone rather than simply approaching questionable territories of the dark and brutal.

BDS 102: Wayfinding Reflections - First Days

I don't claim to be a typographer, but that's beside the point.
I'm not too entirely sure what is going on at the moment.

Being in class things seem to make sense and then we get to the lecture part in which we present our ideas.
Apparently what we thought was right or well thought out is everything but. I am a little bit confused and I feel that we as a class aren't 100% clear on what is expected.

We're obviously not seeing eye to eye with Richard.

I know that the class can be vague and the beginning, but this is a bit different.
Hopefully we can get some grounding and figure things out.
I suppose there is much reading on OUR part as well.

Because Indeed. It's in the goddamn second paragraph.

More to be posted once things are clear. I would hate to post information that is incorrect to wayfinding.

I'm sure things will get better, we're just off to a rusty and sloppy, maybe even overly intimidating start.

The New and Improved: The Official Website

Just like the last post, over winter break I did some major haul on my personal website.
So instead of keeping it under shadows because of embarrassment, I now feel at least somewhat comfortable handing this link out to potential clients, or whoever just wants to see my portfolio.

The New and Imporved: The Official Blog

Over winter break I did major haul and implemented a new website along with a new blog.
I am hosting both privately now under a unique domain! Yaaaay! So no more advertising off of crappy sites with messed up URL's.

So for the most part, I might post a thing or two every now and then with my work, but it'll probably mostly be BDS stuff from here on out.

If you are, however, still interested in following me and my personal work, hit up my website or blog for facebook or tumblr or flickr or youtube... well, you get the point. I've made it all available for all to find, just click on those buttons!

The real, ultimate, end all, be all, Travis Young Photography Blog.
