I'm a big fan of lanky arms, goofy eyes, horns, teeth, and tails.
I'm going to find a way to implement that into a chair, and still have it sturdy enough to hold my weight.
I've also noticed that it's hard for me not to approach something with such an obvious theme. Some instructors like more abstract ideas with hints of themes.
Keep working on positive/negative space to suggest the monster without making it too obvious.
