BDS 101: Prototyping

BDS 101: Do Work

Today, we worked on a prototype for a paint roller.
Read more for progress and more photos!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

We started this day outside of Michaels Arts and Crafts.
We got all the necessary supplies and then went to Katie's house.
Unfortunately, one of our team members, Lori, was out of town.
But she'll make up for as far as participation is involved.

BDS 101: Prototype

Probably not the smartest or most efficient way of cutting dowel rods but hell, we're in college, gotta make do with what little we had.
We're lucky we even had a saw to begin with.

BDS 101: Prototype

We ended up creating a prototype out of dowel rods and a ton of hot glue.
Katie and I used a saw to destroy some dowel rods and then constructed a handle out of Magic Clay.

BDS 101: Prototype

We really are a happy family...

On the left is our cruddy prototype that we built in class with cardboard and tape.
On the right is the better prototype made out of dowel rods, hot glue, and magic clay.
